This 13.5-acre park offers ample facilities for gatherings and events, including two pavilions with 50 picnic tables, nine cabins for overnight stays, a dining hall, a softball field, a chapel, a meeting room, and bath/shower facilities. It serves as an ideal venue for community gatherings, summer camps, and outdoor celebrations.
4. Van Myra Campground
Nestled within ten acres of scenic beauty, the Van Myra Campground is a serene getaway owned by the State of West Virginia and leased by Mineral County. While it may be smaller in size, this cozy campground offers three picnic tables, four mini-pavilions, and a dedicated picnic area. Visitors can relax, unwind, and enjoy the tranquility of nature. The Ruitens are responsible for the care of this facility, ensuring a pleasant camping experience for all.
5. Dam Site #21
Dam Site #21, owned by the Mineral County Commission, occupies 178 acres of untouched natural beauty. While lacking specific facilities, this location is a prime destination for fishing enthusiasts, providing access to the 10-acre flood control dam.
