Barnum Whitewater Area Catches

The North Branch of the Potomac River is fast becoming one of the best trout streams in West Virginia.

The North Branch is stocked by West Virginia and Maryland Department of Natural Resources starting in January.  Brown, brook, rainbow and golden trout are stocked on a regular basis.  Trophy fish are now being caught on the North Branch.

West Virginia and Maryland fishing license are both legal on the North Branch and Jennings Randolph Lake.

Access to the North Branch is via the Barnum Whitewater Area.  There is approximately one mile of river frontage along the old CSX railway.
